Here we'll see two of the most beautiful cenotes in the Yucatán Península: X'Kekén and Samulá.
Chichimilá

Convent
On the way to Xocén we'll visit this ex convent (16th century) in the little village of Chichimilá, where the Mayan Caste War began in 1847.

At 7km – 4 miles from Valladolid
Village
The highlight of the trip is the integration with the Mayan people of the village of Xocén, known as the middle of the world. We'll visit the church, local theatre, cenote and the holy church of the three croces.
The Mayan Family
At about noon, we go back to basics. We'll show you how Mayas used to live like they did hundreds years ago and still keep alive their original identity. We'll see how tortillas are made by hand, by yourself and we'll taste them.
X'La'Kaj
At 5km – 3 miles from Xocén
Entrance: 10 pesos
Biopark
At the end, we'll visit this remote open cenote with its viewpoint and small zoo. There you can make a rewarding dip in the fresh water, before heading back to Valladolid.
